Who is the Tauranga Massage Collective?

Handré Zaaiman
Handré is the founder of the Tauranga Massage Collective. He has more than 15 years experience as a Therapeutic Massage Therapist. He is also a yoga teacher and is passionate about helping people live as pain-free as can be and manage it through yoga, breathing and movement. "My consultation process and treatment involves getting to the source of your pain/discomfort and working WITH YOU to achieve your goals".

"I help clients with chronic and acute muscle pain, soft-tissue injuries, increased sports performance and recovery, postural issues, headaches/migraines, stress/tension, tiredness/fatigue, and much more. I do this by using remedial massage techniques with a deep-tissue style pressure for therapeutic results. Utilizing various methods such as trigger point therapy, clinical vacuum cupping, range of motion and postural assessments".

Through his massage practice and yoga Handré can help clients on a 1 on 1 basis and believes that Yoga is the ultimate movement medicine. "Yoga gives you the power and is an excellent antidote to our modern day issues of stress, pain and consumption."

Luiz Macedo
Luiz is passionate about health & well-being. He has studied multiple styles of massage and holistic therapies including Shiatsu, Ayurveda, Yoga, Thai Massage and Myofascial Release.
Coming from a Sport Science background, he has a great understanding of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics, and how to promote healthy movements within the body.
“I bring together the east and western understanding of the body-mind complex and take the best of the two worlds. Promoting well-being, alignment and relaxation to my patients”.
Luiz understands that there is more to pain than the affected area, but that physical and emotional limitations can lead to stress, anxiety and lack of self-confidence.
“I want to help you be at your best, so you can do what you love and share the happiness with your family, friends and whomever is around you”.

Grant Nicol

Massage with an emphasis on rehab and injury-recovery
work.
He has spent the last 5 years helping clients
recover from sporting and work-related injuries both
minor and major as well as dealing with the tightness
and stress associated with many modern jobs.
“My goal is to get you back up and running again no
matter what it is that you love doing. Whether it’s
playing your favourite sport, hitting the gym or
simply getting back to work again, I can help.”
Using a mixture of deep tissue work, trigger point
therapy and relaxation techniques - always with the
perfect pressure - Grant will get you mobile again.
“One of the most important benefits of massage is its
ability to calm the nervous system which gives your
body the necessary signals it needs to recuperate and
heal. That is the beginning of the journey to
wellness.”
